I am about to order my new Triumph Tiger 900 (in 3 days). But I have one BIG problem.... still not sure whether to go with Rally PRO or with GT PRO. Would appreciate comments very very much, now that you folks have some experience. Basic data is as follows: - I am 191cm tall (6'2) - I will seldom ride off road - 1 up 50%, 2 up 50%
I had the Tiger 900 Rally Pro and I have now the Husky Norden. Better handling, the engine is different of course and I like more the Norden. Very good suspension on both bike and again I prefer the suspension of the Norden. Seat and confort is better on the Norden. Windscreen is a pain for the Norden but the Tiger one is not width enough.
Out of the two , I liked the Rally Pro better because of the suspension. I didn't like the GT Pro suspension at all. I'm picky and also spoiled . I replaced my 2015 Tiger 800 xrx suspension after 3000 miles or I would have sold the bike. The Rally Pro is better but not nearly as good as my Penske shock and AK20 fork cartridges.
"the 2024 version of the Tiger 900, mounts a new exhaust system that does not allow for the 2020/2023 version frames. The pannier frames for the new version are in our short-term plans but we are unable to provide further information at this time." So waiting on before making pannier investments.
Interesting -- now that you mention it, I actually haven't changed the rear pads yet on my Rally Pro; obviously I just got the FA140HH from EBC's online guide. That is what the Tiger 800 XC takes; they must have made a mistake updating their catalog. I checked the Triumph parts fiche, and the 900 and 800 have different part numbers for the rear ...
I set up my Zumo mount with an SAE connector since I use the GPS on multiple bikes. On the Rally Pro, I snaked a long (about 2') SAE cable extension (purchased on Amazon) from the SAE connector on the battery along the right side under the tank. I found the right side to have more room/ fewer obstructions to get the wiring through.
Tiger 900 Rally Pro and Honda Africa Twin ATAS. The only properly comparable offering I can think of in your consideration set is the Honda Africa Twin M/T which I estimate would retail in the same ball park as the 900 Rally Pro.
The 900 will be much better than the 650 V-storm, but if your basing bike choice off how well the preform at 140km there are way better choices than the Tiger 900 & you already mentioned 2 of em. You should look into a BMW RT, the BMW RT was the most comfortable & best handling high speed bike I've ever ridden.

If your answer was the Triumph Tiger 900 series, you’d be right. For 2024, Hinckley is revising this line with three models: the Tiger 900 GT, the Tiger 900 GT Pro and the Tiger 900 Rally Pro. Based on previous installments in the Tiger 900 series, you can probably already guess what’s coming, but here is a bike-by-bike breakdown to clarify ...
