Im listing my tj trailer in the jeep parts non-specific section of classifieds. We got a bigger vehicle and my garage is out of room. It's made specifically with the 2 door jeep's low tow rating in mind. Comes in at 770lbs with tent rack on. 625 without spare and rack. If you do any camping you will appreciate the extra room. Pm if interested.
Two Door JK w/2” Lift Went with Metalcloak 2.5” True Dual Rate - Rocksport with 17” x 8.5” Quadratec Hardrock wheel 5.2” backspacing . . . Skinned them with 33” x 12.5” Nitto Ridge Grapplers . . . I could not be happier!!
Recently picked up a 2015 Jeep Wrangler JK 2 door and just added some cool rock sliders to it. But I’m not going to lie the factory 8 speaker audio system isn’t super good. It’s not horrible and it’s got plenty of loud to it, just not a lot of kick in it. So I would like to add a subwoofer.
2. You will see two bars at the bottom of the seat near the floor of the jeep - a fat one and a skinny one. You will also see hinges connected to the floor of the jeep. Squeeze the bars together to release the little hinges and give the seat a good yank. 3. Gracefully maneuver the seats out of the back of the jeep without dropping it on your foot.
Trailer Towing with 2 Dr Sport I have a 2013 Wrangler Sport with a standard 6 speed transmission and pulled a 5 x 8 enclosed trailer on vacation. U-haul doesn't rent if your Jeep has a soft top. The dealer told me it was because there is less protection in event of a roll over. Pulling a trailer does not effect the soft top in any way.
We're considering using my 2-door Rubicon as a tow vehicle. Anyone have experience towing around 2300lbs for 1000 miles with a similar setup? I've towed over that with my Sport and it wasn't very fun, I'm wondering if the 4.10 gears, auto tranny, less weight on the trailer and better weight distribution would make it a better experience.
I recently bought a 2015 2-door JK. Previously I had a 2013 JKU with a 2.5" teraflex budget boost (with springs up front). The JKU had a pretty decently comfortable ride. The 2-door is another story - it's currently stock with the 32" wrangler tires, and pretty rough on bumps and potholes. I understand the short wheelbase is a huge part of that.
Mopar Sailcloth Soft Top Kit for 18-20 Jeep Wrangler JL 2-Door with Tinted Windows for 18-22 Jeep Wrangler JL 2-Door. The problem you run into on 2 door JL specific items is that only about 10% of the sales (from reports I have seen) are 2 doors.
The pictures below show both of these sizes with an AEV 2" spacer lift originally installed with an extra 1/2" spacer to yield a 2.5" lift (although it has settled some over the years). Note that the 255/85R17 required trimming of the factory Rubicon rock rails and some additional rear bump stop over the 1" rear spacer that came with the AEV ...
this is what we will be doing when we figure things out and get a 2-door (looking at 2023 custom order, or saving money and finding a 2018 JK at deep discount when used auto market continues to deteriorate). rear seat is coming out and will stay out full time, and a full length waterproof cargo liner will go in. now i have an excuse for never driving more than 1 person LOL
