Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU; Vietnamese: Đại học Quốc gia Hà Nội, ĐHQGHN) is a public research university system in Hanoi, Vietnam. The university system has 10 member universities and faculties. VNU is one of two Vietnam's national universities, the other one being Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.

For many years, the school was housed in a small building attached to the Hanoi-Amsterdam campus (a local Vietnamese high school). In 1999, the campus was moved to the UN buildings in Van Phuc; in 2004 the school was finally moved to the long-awaited, custom-built campus located in a new area on the outskirts of Hanoi called Ciputra Hanoi Estate.
The Ho Chi Minh City University of Law Library is one of the major law libraries in the South of Vietnam. The library has over 75.000 legal books, 63 newspapers and magazines, and 1.000 PhD, MSc, and BSc thesis. The University has undertaken these past few years to develop its databases and electronic resources and has implemented an e-portal.
