Eastern Championship Wrestling/Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) is a defunct professional wrestling promotion based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania that operated from 1992 to 2001. Over the course of its existence, ECW staged regular supercards and, beginning in 1997, pay-per-view events.
The event took place on July 13, 1996 from the ECW Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the United States. Heat Wave was streamed live as an Internet pay-per-view (iPPV) event. [ 1 ] Excerpts from the event also aired on episodes #753, #754, and #755 of the syndicated television programme ECW Hardcore TV later that month.

Hardcore Heaven (1996) was the third Hardcore Heaven professional wrestling event produced by Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW). The event was a supercard that took place on June 22, 1996, in the ECW Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Ten professional wrestling matches were contested on the card.
ECW struggled for months after the cancellation, trying to secure a new national television deal. On December 30, 2000, ECW Hardcore TV aired for the last time and the January 7, 2001, broadcast of Guilty as Charged was ECW's last PPV. ECW's January 13, 2001 show in Pine Bluff, Arkansas would prove to be its final event of any kind.
