I have a Roku Ultra model 4800X using Software 12.0.0 build 4184-C2. I have started having problems with Apple TV App yesterday (June 16, 2023) where during playback the picture suddenly freezes. In order to get it to continue, I have to FF and then rewind. I have excellent WiFi at over 100MBPS. I tried rebooting.
Perform a system reboot: navigate to your Home, select Settings > System > Power (skip if unavailable) > System restart. Re-install the app: navigate to your Home, scroll and select Store, look for the app, then press Add channel. You can also try to update the app by highlighting it and pressing the star* button on your remote.
Please be informed that the channel provider of The Chosen channel is aware of the issue and is working on an update to resolve it. Re: Roku not working since update 2024. We have 5 Roku’s, 2 built into the TV and 3 external ones. The 3 external ones have stopped working this past week, all three the same issue. They show connected to the internet and you can use the menu on the side but nothing shows on the options: no apps, no choices no anything.
