House Bill 77 Legislation passed in July 2021 and made effective January 1, 2022. The new law, provides that the current Jury Division be renamed DIVISION A. The name Jury Division will not be used on and forward of January 1, 2022 and shall be referred to as DIVISION A of DeKalb County State Court.

The State Court of DeKalb County consists of seven (7) Division A Court Divisions, (4) Division B Court Divisions, the Clerk’s office, the Marshal’s Office and a Probation Office. Each Judge is selected in a county wide election and serves a four (4) year term.
