Spur 3 begins at a junction with the SH 358 freeway. It travels north, first along Ennis Joslin Boulevard and then along Alameda Street. The route turns to the east at Ocean Drive.
Spur 303 is located in Tarrant and Dallas counties. It runs from I-820 to Loop 12. At 17.4 miles, Spur 303 is the longest spur in Texas. Spur 303 was designated on February 23, 1956, from Rosedale Street (now I-820), south of the Texas and Pacific Railway overpass at Handley, east along an old interurban rail line and along Park Row Street in Arlington to the then-proposed extension of SH 360.

SH 3 Spur was created on November 18, 1938 from SH 3 to the Uvalde Fish Hatchery. [7] On May 23, 1939, SH 3 Spur was designated to Langtry. [ 8 ] While the routes were marked concurrently, on September 26, 1939, SH 3 was truncated to a small route running from Seguin , Gonzales to Waelder .

Spur 502 is located in Gregg County. It runs from US 80 in Longview north to US 259 near Judson. It is known as Judson Road for most of its length, except for the southernmost quarter mile, where it is known as High Street. Spur 502 was designated on January 31, 1972, on its current route.
