Charles T. Holt House is a historic home located at Haw River, Alamance County, North Carolina. It was designed by architect George Franklin Barber and built in 1897. The house is a 2 + 1 ⁄ 2-story, rectangular dwelling sheathed in wood, slate, brick and stone in the Queen Anne style. It features peaks, turrets and decorative chimney stacks.
The Courts served as the village law court where cloth weavers could settle their disputes. Around 1797, it was bought by John Davis and it remained in his family until 1900. Davis likely built the cloth mill which was next to the house. Following the decline of the wool trade in the area, his grandson demolished the mill around 1888. [1]

Following the war, Holt spent an increasing amount of time at his plantation Linwood, located southwest of Lexington, where he operated a scientific farm on his 1,600 acres (6.5 km 2).
