Alpha Chi Omega (ΑΧΩ, also known as Alpha Chi or A Chi O) is a national women's fraternity founded at DePauw University in 1885. As of 2023, it has more than 140 active collegiate and 170 active alumnae chapters in the United States and has initiated more than 300,000 members. Alpha Chi Omega is a member of the National Panhellenic Conference.

Alpha Chi Omega is a collegiate women's fraternity established at DePauw University in 1885. When naming its chapters, after the first series, the new series drop one or more corresponding letter sets from the list of available names in this manner: In the "Alpha Alpha" series, there is no Alpha Alpha chapter; the name is unused.
Alpha Chi Omega - ΑΧΏ-Alpha chapter, founded at DePauw in 1885. Alpha Phi - ΑΦ-Gamma chapter, founded at DePauw in 1887; Delta Gamma - ΔΓ-Gamma Iota, founded at DePauw in 1949; Kappa Alpha Theta - ΚΑΘ-Alpha chapter, founded at DePauw in 1870, Theta is the first Greek-letter women's fraternity.
The Alpha Iota series was not used, likewise with all 24 names unassigned (including Omega). The most recent chapter names assigned have been in the Alpha Mu series. Since Chi Omega's founding, eight chapter names have been reassigned, with the last of these occurring in 1943.
