Neptune Township is a township in Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census , the township's population was 28,061, [ 9 ] [ 10 ] an increase of 126 (+0.5%) from the 2010 census count of 27,935, [ 19 ] [ 20 ] which in turn reflected an increase of 245 (+0.9%) from the 27,690 counted in the 2000 census .
