An unexpected "Special Grade" Cursed Spirit attacks them. Yuji stays back to buy time while Megumi rescues Nobara and escapes. Yuji's left hand is torn off by the spirit, so he unleashes Sukuna to fight. Sukuna swiftly kills the Special Grade, regenerates Yuji's hand, and reclaims one of his fingers that was powering the curse.
Ryomen Sukuna (Japanese: 両面 宿儺, Hepburn: Ryōmen Sukuna) is a fictional character and one of the central antagonists of the manga and anime series Jujutsu Kaisen created by Gege Akutami. A Heian Era sorcerer, he was once known notoriously as the King of Curses and well known as the greatest Sorcerer to ever live.
He later comes back as the executioner of Yuji Itadori after Gojo had been sealed, though the two soon team up afterwards, in order to rid the world of Kenjaku. He enters the Sandai colony of the Culling Games in order to protect the civilians from sorcerers and gain information on Kenjaku.

The Hasabas ask Sukuna to kill the imposter inhabiting Geto's body, offering another finger's location as compensation.
