Binggrae Co., Ltd. (Korean: 빙그레; RR: Binggeurae; lit. smile), is a South Korean multinational food and beverage corporation that manufactures ice cream , milk products, and snacks. Binggrae was founded in 1967 by Hong Soon-ji [ a ] as Daeil Corporation ( Korean : 대일양행 ; Hanja : 對日洋行 ; RR : Daeilyanghaeng ).
In the 1970s, the Korean government wanted to encourage citizens to drink more milk. In response, because bananas were then considered a luxury in Korea, Binggrae created Banana Flavored Milk, believing consumers would purchase the milk to taste the fruit. [8] Banana Flavored Milk was first introduced to the Korean market in 1974. [1] [8]

Melona (Korean: 메로나) is a South Korean ice pop, manufactured by Binggrae Co. Ltd.Although the product is called "Melona" and is identified by its melon flavor, the ice pop also comes in other fruit flavors, such as banana, strawberry, mango, purple yam, coconut, blueberry, and grape.
In 1993, the club changed its name to Hanwha Eagles after Binggrae's separation from Hanwha conglomerate. Pitchers Song Jin-woo and Jung Min-cheul were the team's one-two punch through the 1990s and much of the 2000s. Song played for the team for 21 seasons, between 1989 and 2009.

In December 2023, Binggrae pulled off the original promotion and replaced it with a new character design that depicts Binggraeus' hands as flat circles.
