Kettle Restaurants is a Texas-based American restaurant chain. [1] The first location was opened by founder Harry Chambers, Sr. and his brother, Danny, in 1968 in Nacogdoches, Texas. He gained experience managing Toddle House restaurants in Baton Rouge while obtaining an engineering degree at LSU. Soon they opened additional locations.
The new store would require razing of two old four story buildings: Woolworth's and the Wilbur Rogers dress shop. [2] The store opened around 1938, just before a new Woolworth's opened at 105 North High Street, replacing one destroyed in a fire in the previous year. Both buildings were designed in a similar style. [9]
Lazarus-Macy’s became Macy’s in March 2005. In 2006, due to the Federated-May merger, the Kaufmann's store was renamed Macy's at Hayden Run. As of October 2006 there were two Macy's located at the mall, Macy's at Tuttle Crossing (the original Lazarus store) and Macy's at Hayden Run (the former Marshall Field's/Kaufmann's) until March 2017.
