On May 20, 2010, a new Friends of the Panama City Beach Public Library group was formed and is still in operation today. They are a valuable resource to the library. The new Panama City Beach Public Library opened its doors on June 1, 2010. [8] On June 01, 2011, the one-year anniversary of the new library was celebrated.
