Ron Corning (born June 23, 1971) is an American television host.For 8 years he was the morning anchor at the ABC affiliate WFAA in Dallas, Texas.He co-anchored the station's morning newscast, Daybreak, and was the solo anchor of Midday, the station's one-hour noon newscast.
The programming is broadcasted from their new Victory Park studios (News 8 Daybreak, News 8 Midday, News 8 at Five, and also when a major event is being held at Victory Park).[1][2] "WFAA" reportedly stood for "Working For All Alike", and also "World's Finest Air Attraction."
The station first signed on the air on July 1, 1954 [4] at 6 p.m. Founded by C. Bruce McConnell—owner of WISH radio (1310 AM, now WTLC)—it was the third television station to sign on in the Indianapolis market, after WFBM-TV (channel 6, now WRTV), which signed on in May 1949 and Bloomington-licensed WTTV (channel 10, now on channel 4), which signed on six months later in November 1949.
