Marlin High School is a public high school in the city of Marlin, Texas, United States. It is part of the Marlin Independent School District located in central Falls County. The school is classified as a 2A school by the University Interscholastic League (UIL). [1] In 2015, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency. [2]

Marlin ISD received an "academically unacceptable" rating from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) in 2011. In 2013 and 2014 the TEA gave it "improvement required". [ 6 ] In September 2015 the TEA sent a letter stating that it planned to revoke the accreditation as of July 1, 2016, which would lead to the closure of the district. [ 7 ]
