Quinnipiac University School of Law is the law school of Quinnipiac University located in North Haven, Connecticut. It is a member of the Association of American Law Schools , and is currently ranked tied at 143rd by U.S. News & World Report .
The university's official student newspaper is The Quinnipiac Chronicle. [11] In 2007 and 2008, Quinnipiac briefly drew national attention over the university's control over the Chronicle and other aspects of students' speech after the then-editor of the Chronicle openly criticized a university policy that forbade the newspaper from publishing news online before it was published in print.
The law school faculty and students voted to merge with Quinnipiac University and the name was officially changed to the Quinnipiac University School of Law. [ 13 ] Once PWPA-appointed trustees constituted a majority on the board of trustees, the trustees retained the president at the time, Edwin G. Eigel Jr. (1932–2008).

At the time of his retirement, he had served Quinnipiac as president for 31 years and 3 months, watching the student body grow from 1,902 students to roughly 10,000.
