The Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum (AGSEM) is a living history museum founded in 1969. It is located on 55 acres (220,000 m 2) of county-owned land at 2040 N Santa Fe Ave. on the outskirts of Vista, California. The museum is a non-profit 501c(3) organization, run by several paid employees along with volunteer help.

The museum also has multiple smaller gauge railroad layouts for members usage in 4.75" gauge, 3.5" gauge, elevated 1 gauge, and g-scale. In addition to live steam layouts, the museum also operates a stationary 19th century steam plant every 3rd Sunday with a variety of vintage restored steam appliances.

The Eagle Salt Works Railroad was a 13.5 mile shortline railroad that ran northeast from a connection with the Southern Pacific Company at Luva (near Fernley) to Leete, Nevada. The line then branched from the old Central Pacific grade and went southeast for about 2 miles to the Eagle Salt Works. The railroad was incorporated on February 16, 1903.
