Thomas More School is an American private school in San Jose, California operated by the Society of Saint Pius X providing a traditional Roman Catholic education. Saint Thomas More High School was established in 1972 by the merger of Don Bosco and Pio Nono High Schools. It was initially named Thomas More High School, but the "Saint" was added to the name in the summer of 2007 to re-emphasize the school's Catholic heritage, at the request of Archbishop Timothy Dolan.
The school was inspected again in November 2019 under a section 8 inspection and found that “St Thomas More Catholic School continues to be a good school” and the ethos and community environment of the school was praised highly as well as student conduct.
The school has seen only three head teachers since 1988, the former head teacher John Marshall retired in 2007, leaving Diane Donkin to become the new head from September 2007. Under her premiership, the school's name changed from St Thomas More High School to St Thomas More Academy in 2012.
When St Bedes Middle school closed in 2006, academic years 7 and 8 were transferred to St Thomas More School, along with some of the teaching staff. In July 2008 the school was awarded specialist status as a Humanities College, with English acting as the lead department. In 2007 English results placed the school in the top two per cent nationally.

[1] The school is named after Saint Thomas More, a sixteenth century elder statesman who was martyred for his refusal to accept King Henry VIII's claim to be the supreme head of the church.
