Hughes Springs is located in western Cass County. A small portion extends west into Morris County. The city is located along state highways 11 and 49, which run concurrently through the city limits. TX 11 leads east 15 miles (24 km) to Linden, and TX 49 leads southeast 9 miles (14 km) to Avinger.
