In 1925, the presently used two story red-brick school was built. The school served up to 12th grade under Father Jacob Lenzen and was staffed by the Sisters of Divine Providence. In 1968, rising operational costs forced the closure of St. Louis, ending a history of over 100 years of Catholic education in Castroville.
In accordance with state and archdiocesan regulations, a student must be: 3 years of age on or before September 1st in order to enroll in 3K*. 4 years of age on or before September 1st in order to enroll in 4K*. 5 years of age on or before September 1st in order to enroll in Kindergarten.
