Dendron Swamp Natural Area Preserve is a 636-acre (257 ha) Natural Area Preserve in Sussex County, Virginia, USA. Located along the Blackwater River, the preserve supports a bald cypress and tupelo swamp. Canopy trees over 98 feet (30 m) tall line the river for two miles (3.2 km) and the swamp shows only occasional signs of logging.

Another rare type of forest found along the Blackwater River is a type called Longleaf Pine and Mixed Pine Flatwoods .

It extends for about 8 miles along the northwest slope of Brush Mountain, bounded to the east by a power line, to the northwest by Craig Creek and private property, and to the southeast by Forest road 188.1 along the crest of the mountain.
