Fair Oaks Mall is a shopping mall in the Fair Oaks census-designated place (CDP) of unincorporated Fairfax County, Virginia, just northwest of the independent city of Fairfax. It is located at the intersection of Interstate 66 and U.S. Route 50. The mall has a gross leasable area (GLA) of 1,557,000 sq ft (144,700 m 2).
Fair Oaks is a natural, lush foliage town with rolling streets, canopies of trees, located at (38.651254, -121.259279), [4] between Sacramento and Folsom. Fair Oaks is bounded on the south side by the American River, and Gold River, on the north side by the city of Citrus Heights, on the west side by Carmichael, and the east side by Orangevale and Folsom.

Villa Parke is bordered by Mountain Street to the north, Interstate 210 to the south, Fair Oaks Avenue to the west, and Los Robles Avenue to the east. It surrounds the recreation center with the same name, located at Villa Street and Euclid Avenue. At the district's southern edge is the iconic brick clock tower at St. Andrew's Church.
The main road in Fair Lakes is the Fair Lakes Parkway. Other major roads that pass through the area are the Fairfax County Parkway (SR 286); West Ox Road ( SR 608 ), and SR 6751 / Monument Drive. SR 645 / Stringfellow Road forms the western boundary of Fair Lakes, and is also the western terminus for the Fair Lakes Parkway.
The Vintage Faire Mall opened in March 1977. The original anchor stores at the mall were Weinstock's and Sears.. In 2001, the mall's owner Macerich invested $10 million in an extensive renovation that included new escalators, new railings and carpet on the second floor, new tiles on the first floor, modern light fixtures and new exterior signage.
