Patients must be enrolled in Ohio Medicaid either under the traditional fee for service option or enrolled with a Medicaid managed care plan to potentially be covered. The ODM has two sources for eligibility and enrollment. Information is available online through the Medicaid Information Technology System (MITS)
If you plan to bill Medicaid, the OhioRISE plan, or Medicaid managed care organizations for CANS assessments, you must be an enrolled Medicaid provider and add the “ORC – CANS Assessor” specialty to your enrollment.
