When Mr. Murman was called to serve in World War II, Mr. Harry Wilson became a partner which began Murman & Wilson Funeral Home. In 1974, Mr. Murman and Mr. Wilson retired and sold the funeral home to Harry's son, John Wilson.

Johnston City-William J. Rice Sr. 78 passed away at 4:18 A.M. at home surrounded by his family. William was born on March 23, 1946, in Geneva the son of Leroy and Grace Mae (Learned) Rice. He was married to Judy (Butt) on January 21, 1967, in Westminster, California.
Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery of Johnston City. Visitation will be from 11:00A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the church located at 400 W. Broadway. Marion–Breanne Lechea Sine, 31, passed away at 4:56 P.M. on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at home. Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Sunday August 15, 2021 at Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
Guy was a 1976 graduate of Johnston City High School. He was a journeyman lineman with IBEW Local 702 and jack-of-all-trades. Guy was intelligent, willing to learn anything new, and he had a dry sense of humor. Like his dad, he enjoyed renovating homes. He got his love of reading from his mom.
Services will be held on Thursday November 7, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Brad Dexter officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City with military rites conducted by the Marion V.F.W. and American Legion.
