Sandstone Amphitheater, currently known as Azura Amphitheater, is an open-air amphitheater located in Bonner Springs, Kansas, United States. [1] It is owned by the unified government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kansas, shares its grounds with the Kansas City Renaissance Festival and National Agricultural Center and Hall of Fame and is located adjacent to the Wyandotte County Park.

Richard Zane Smith (born 1955) is an American sculptor who grew up in St. Louis Missouri and learned the art of pottery at the Kansas City Art institute. Smith's works draw from Wyandotte as well as Pueblo traditions, incorporating coils and layers within the clay.
The festival will be held on the Wyandotte riverfront and a grass section of Bishop Park. There will be a $5 admission fee in advance or at the gate, with children 12 and under free.
The festival began in 1977, as a much smaller festival. For its first 23 seasons it was operated primarily as a benefit for the Kansas City Art Institute, rather than as a business. In 1999 it was purchased by Mid-America Festivals, which also operates the Minnesota Renaissance Festival, and turned into a much larger business concern.
