Pine Valley was founded in 1913 by a group of amateur golfers from Philadelphia.They purchased 184 acres (0.7 km²) of rolling, sandy ground deep in the pinelands of southern New Jersey, and gave George Arthur Crump, who knew the area from hunting expeditions, the opportunity to design the course.
Formerly named Pine Hill Golf Club, it was purchased and renamed by the Trump Organization on Christmas Eve, 2009. [1] The club sits about 1.5 mi (2.4 km) from Pine Valley Golf Club and Freeway Golf Course. The clubhouse of Trump National Golf Club is set atop a prominent hill 209-foot (64 m) in the middle of Camden County.
As of the census [8] of 2010, there were 524 people, 208 households, and 147 families living in the village. The population density was 1,637.5 inhabitants per square mile (632.2/km 2).

Flynn is most noted for designing Shinnecock Hills Golf Club on Long Island and Cherry Hills Country Club, Huntingdon Valley Country Club, Lancaster Country Club, and for his work at the Merion Golf Club.
