Krishna Kumar met his future wife Sindhu during his time presenting for Doordarshan. They married on 12 December 1994 at the Trivandrum Club in Thiruvananthapuram. They have four daughters including Ahaana Krishna, Ishaani Krishna [8] (both actresses), Diya Krishna and Hansika Krishna. Sindhu is an entrepreneur and runs an advertisement agency.
She was replaced by a duo, singer-actor Yugendran and his wife, Malini, for the remainder of the show in 2009. Playback singers P. Unnikrishnan and Srinivas returned as permanent judges of the show, and a new permanent judge, playback singer Sujatha replaced Anuradha Sriram (who instead appeared as a guest judge through the season).
