The building is 152 feet (46 m) tall, and has 12 stories. Designed by Guy Anton Carlander and constructed by the Gilsonite Contracting Company, [1] it was built in 1927 or 1928, in the Gothic Revival style. [2] It was named for Charles A. Fisk, president of the Amarillo Bank and Trust Company, which occupied part of the building from 1935 to 1951.

The Santa Fe Building is one of the oldest buildings in downtown Amarillo, Texas, U.S.A. It was completed on January 18, 1930 and had the regional offices of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway company. The Amarillo office of the railroad company supervised more than 5,800 miles (9,334 km) of railroads.
The Amarillo Building was constructed in the mid-1920s by the Shepard & Wiser architectural firm. With two towers, it is considered the oldest skyscraper in Amarillo. [1] [2] It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 23, 2018. [3]
