The House of Hope Presbyterian Church in Saint Paul, Minnesota was founded in 1907, by the merger of two churches that were founded in 1849 and 1855. [ 1 ] Its building was designed by noted architect Ralph Adams Cram starting in 1909; the church was completed in 1914.
It is located in Oakdale, Minnesota, United States, a suburb of St. Paul, Minnesota, and is the first temple of the LDS Church to be built in the state. The site of the St. Paul Minnesota Temple is also the site of a stake center, a larger meetinghouse for the members of the LDS Church. The temple is situated on a wooded 7.5-acre (3.0 ha) site.

Oakdale lies entirely within the North St. Paul–Maplewood–Oakdale school district, ISD 622, and the city's students are split into two high schools within the district. Tartan Senior High School is within the city's boundaries, and serves the southern half of Oakdale.
Hope Community Church owns both buildings and the parking lots. Hope, a church that started in 1996, [8] is affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church of America. The congregation serendipitously purchased the Augustana Lutheran Church building, allowing them to expand from the other church on the block, which they had owned since 2003. [9]
