"Happier Than Ever" is a song by American singer-songwriter Billie Eilish from her second album Happier Than Ever. It was released as the album's sixth single on July 30, 2021, through Darkroom and Interscope Records. A pop-punk and emo song, it is about Eilish's anger towards a former partner due to a toxic relationship.
"Happiness" was the last track written for Evermore. [12] Dessner had been working on the song's composition since 2019 and believed that it would be a track for his band, Big Red Machine. Swift was fond of the instrumental and wrote the lyrics to it with Dessner days before Evermore was finished, and it was eventually included on the album.
The album featured dark themes in an often upbeat, pop-punk style.
