The basket ingredients were inspired by the Brady Bunch Hawaiian episodes. Home cooks competed and were judged by three of the six kids from the show. The edible tiki in Round 1 was a sugar cookie decorated with edible ink to look like a tiki. The burned beans in round three were French-style candy covered peanuts.
The stovetops were outfitted with grill sheets and two other burners and the ovens were off-limits throughout the competition. The chefs were also given pre-soaked cedar planks that they could use if they wished. This was the first time since season 5 that there were only three basket ingredients in the appetizer round instead of four.
Notes: Every basket's ingredients were low-cost items. Jeremy Fogg previously competed on the original Chopped in Episode 36.5 - "Gold Medal Games: Baking" with Scott Conant also as a judge, but was eliminated in the appetizer round.

Chopped Canada is a Canadian reality cooking competition series that was broadcast by Food Network Canada from 2014 to 2017. It was a Canadian adaptation of the U.S. Chopped franchise. In May 2017, it was reported that the series had been cancelled by Food Network after four seasons.
