Knife Party's first EP, 100% No Modern Talking, was released digitally through Warner Bros. Records on 12 December 2011. [6] The EP originally was to feature "Back to the Z-List" but was replaced with "Destroy Them with Lazers" as the duo had decided to abandon the track. [ 7 ]
Andy Belt of We Got This Covered gave it 3 out of 5 stars, saying "Knife Party’s debut album will rouse you and get you in the mood to celebrate, at least for its thunderous first half. Writing for Run The Trap, Omar Serrano described Knife Party and Pegboard Nerds as two of "dance music's most revered acts", writing that the song was a "heart-pounding single boasts a boisterous and uplifting build that gives way to a piercing Electro drop that provides the unrelenting tune with its fast pace energy."
The EP leaked on 29 April 2013, but the leaked version of "Power Glove" was erroneous because its sub bass was pitched down an octave too low. On 5 May 2013, the EP was uploaded and available to stream in full on Knife Party's official YouTube and SoundCloud accounts. The EP was later released in digital and CD formats a day later.
