Arlene Rush is a New York City-based multidisciplinary artist. Initially, she created abstract metal sculptures , [ 1 ] with her practice evolving to incorporate more conceptual work. Her current work addresses themes of gender, identity, socioeconomics, and politics, examining issues that impact the contemporary world.

Arlene Eisenberg was born on October 26, 1942, in Brooklyn, New York, to Sally and Louis Eisenberg. She studied painting at Cooper Union School of Art and Architecture and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1964. She received a Masters of Fine Arts from Pratt Institute in 1967. Slavin lives and works in New York City and Wainscott, New York.
