Crosskeys railway station is a station serving the village of Crosskeys in the Caerphilly County Borough in Wales. It is on the Ebbw Valley Railway. The station is situated behind houses on Risca Road and Carlton Terrace. The access to the station is via a one-way system off High Street exiting via Carlton Terrace.
The English name is taken from the Cross Keys Inn (now known as the Cross Keys Hotel), [3] The English name appears as Crosskeys on Ordnance Survey maps, and the railway station also uses this spelling. However, many local organisations use the two word spelling, as does Cross Keys RFC. [4]
Crosskeys station has two platforms, one for northbound services and one for southbound. It is the only station on the Ebbw Valley Railway with no car parking facility, although public car parking is available nearby. The track is doubled from Crosskeys to Risca, providing a passing loop for 3 miles (4.8 km). [13] [66]
