They could enable map selection and start the map in xxx timer, if you end up with 78 bots cause no one wanted to play that map then you end up with 78 bots. I have long argued the lack of map selection partly killed the base. I've seen enough people leave erangal to know people hate maps that others love.
2023-07-31 Feature #7: Maps & Themes A brief comparison of map sizes: A map tile in Cities: Skylines II is smaller than its predecessor - but you are able to unlock almost all tiles, giving you a whopping total of 441 map tiles Alright the build area is 13km x 13km. The question now is if the total map boundary is that size or bigger.
Here is an updated map comparison graphic. This time I included labels, dimensions, and the actual game maps for reference. For reference, I included a scale of 250 px = 1 km. Sources I used to create this: Breath of the Wild map size calculations by u/EngineeringHyrule. Twilight Princess map size calculations by u/zcomuto (see the edit)
And the average American state (Water and all) is 196,670 Sq.Km. with map dimensions of 443x443 Km, you could make a map of the average American state. I ran some slapdash numbers from the census site and came up with those numbers. Also, the averaged length of the US is 3,136 Km, if you wanna make square USA.

If you've ever played dying light, the add on had a go cart like vehicle because the map was so pastoral and large completing the tasks was a challenge. If it truly will be 4 or 6 times the size, I would like a primitive vehicle of some kind. canoe would be an awesome compromise or a dinghy type boat from the plane's emergency kit with a prop ...
Daggerfall is lore accurate size and reuses every texture at least 100 times. It has all over 100 towns and settlements. A Lore accurate skyrim would have a lot more towns in between every city and be staggeringly huge, impossible with the gen of consoles it was made for.
Nice comparison! I always wondered how exactly the different cities compared. It's crazy how large Isezaki-Ijincho is compared to the others. I remember hearing claims that it would be three times the size of Kamurocho before Like a Dragon released and it's interesting to see how accurate that claim turned out to be. I like how varied it is, too.
Let me first say clearly: Map size does not equal map quality. I don't care what map or game someone prefers. But. I am very interesting in the comparisons I've seen between each game's map. The problem is, every discussion I've seen has fairly different results, and none (that I've seen) back them in a way that I find really acceptable.
Actually it's probably larger if you added up ALL playable space. Skyrim felt "large" do to it's spread. That spread went around useless mountains, down roads surrounded by cliffs, etc. The reason he answered the way he did is the simple fact that the square-size of it may not be "bigger" but the TRUE size/scale/density of it is much more then ...
