As i understand it from reading so far, no code means that the physician makes the decision to code the patient. DNR is a directive that the patient or family/surrogate agrees and signs regarding life saving measures.

Jun 11, 2007. A nurse tech in our area is a nursing student who has completed the first 2 semesters of nursing school. They actually have more duties than a CNA. Depending on the hospital a tech can perform skills such as starting an IV under the guidance of an RN. In our area techs are not in charge at all.

Having the blood come into contact causes a large vasoplegic response and usually can be unresponsive to other pressors. Google the actual mechanism of action of Vasopressin vs Norepinephrine and you will see why.
