The College of Applied Health Sciences (AHS), formerly known as the College of Applied Life Studies, is an undergraduate and graduate school at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. It can trace its roots back to 1895, with the foundation of the Department of Physical Training for Men.
AHS is the largest employer in the province of Alberta. In 2019, AHS served 4.3 million Albertans with a staff of 125,000 staff and 10,000 physicians, [4] and an annual budget of $15.365 billion. [1] Sean Chilton is the Acting President and CEO of AHS and reports to Dr. John Cowell, the AHS Official Administrator.
The Center formulates the Army Medical Department's (AMEDD's) organization, tactics, doctrine, equipment, and academic training support. In 2015, the mission for the Academy of Health Sciences (AHS) moved from the School to the Center, and was renamed the Department of Training and Academic Affairs (DoTAA) as result of a reorganization.

[ 2 ] Formerly operated by Alameda County , California , it now has an independent board of trustees appointed by the Alameda County Board of Supervisors .
