Brookland, also known as Little Rome or Little Vatican, is a neighborhood located in the Northeast (NE) quadrant of Washington, D.C. Bounded by Fort Totten Metro Train tracks NE, and Brookland CUA Metro train tracks, Taylor Street NE, Rhode Island Avenue NE, South Dakota Avenue NE.

University Heights is in DC Neighborhood Cluster 20 [2] along with the Michigan Park and North Michigan Park neighborhoods. University Heights is often thought of as a section of the Brookland neighborhood, largely because Brookland Elementary School is inside University Heights, but is actually a separate neighborhood north of Brookland proper.
"Northeast" (NE or N.E.) is located north of East Capitol Street and east of North Capitol Street.Northeast neighborhoods include Brentwood, Brookland, Ivy City, Marshall Heights, NoMa, Pleasant Hill, Stanton Park, Trinidad, Michigan Park, Riggs Park, Fort Totten, Fort Lincoln, Edgewood, and Woodridge, as well as much of Capitol Hill.
Michigan Park is easily accessible by Fort Totten and Brookland-CUA Metro Stations on the Washington Metropolitan Area Red Line. Michigan Park also has Barnard Hill, a Fort Circle Park named for Major General John G. Barnard , that has excellent views of Upper Northeast.

Brookland–CUA station is a Washington Metro station in Washington, D.C., on the Red Line. Service began on February 3, 1978. [2] The station serves the Brookland neighborhood and the Catholic University of America (CUA). It is the focal point of an upcoming transit-oriented development project.
