Sopranino refers to a singing voice that is higher than soprano. [1] It typically refers to a range of about E 4 to E 6, sometimes extending as high as G 6. Even a A 6 A sopranino voice type is rare. It is not considered a classical music part, nor a popular name, but would be cast as a high soprano.
For example, a female singer may have a vocal range that encompasses the low notes of a mezzo-soprano and the high notes of a soprano.
