This is a list of the revenue divisions and taluks of Tamil Nadu, a southern state of India.These administrative units are classified based on the district. There are 38 districts in Tamil Nadu, and for revenue administration purposes, each district is divided into divisions, headed by a Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO), which are further divided into taluks. Erode District is one of the 38 districts in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It was the largest district by area in the state before the formation of Tirupur district in 2009 and is the third largest by area, as of 2024. The headquarters of the district is Erode.

The taluk had a literacy rate of 73.5%. Child population in the age group below 6 years were 35,016 Males and 33,498 Females. [2] After trifurcation of the taluk, the present Erode taluk has a population of around 558,074 (as per census 2011). So there is a proposal and request to further bifurcate the Erode taluk into Erode North and Erode South.

Erode division is one of the two revenue divisions in Erode district of Tamil Nadu, India. The revenue division includes 4 taluks. They four taluks are Erode taluk; Perundurai taluk; Modakurichi taluk; Kodumudi taluk; The population of Erode division is 11,34,765 with an area of 2,145sqkm.
Erode East or 'Erode (East)' is a state assembly constituency in Erode district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. Its State Assembly Constituency number is 98. It consists of a portion of Erode taluk which includes Erode City. It is included in Erode Lok Sabha constituency.
Modakurichi became a separate taluk in Erode district by trifurcation of the erstwhile Erode taluk, along with Kodumudi taluk on 8 March 2016. The new taluk will have control over the same geographic entity of the Modakurichi revenue block with Modakurichi as the headquarters. [1] It falls under the Erode revenue division.
