    This refers only to the 3S DOHC heads. The designations FE, GE and GTE (among many others) refer to engine configurations, not specifically to the heads. There are vast differences between early and late 3S-GE engines, heads on early 3S-GE engines are much more like those on early 3S-GTE engines than those on BEAMS engines for instance.
