Lost Lake. / 42.5933°N 71.5280°W / 42.5933; -71.5280. Lost Lake, also known as Knop/p/s Pond, is a reservoir in Groton, Massachusetts, United States. It was formed from three lakes by the headwaters of Salmon Brook. The southern part of the lake is known as Knops Pond where it is near 30 feet (9.1 m) deep.
Salmon Brook begins at the outlet of Lower Massapoag Pond near the center of Dunstable. [1] It then flows approximately 9.3 miles (15.0 km) north-northeast to the Merrimack River. The water body farthest upstream in the watershed is Martins Pond just east of the center of the town of Groton .
Groton is a town in northwestern Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States, within the Greater Boston metropolitan area. The population was 11,315 at the 2020 census. An affluent bedroom community roughly 45 miles from Boston, Groton has a large population of professional workers, many of whom work in Boston's tech industry.
