Irvine Valley College (also known as IVC or Irvine Valley) is a public community college in Irvine, California.It is part of the California Community Colleges system. The college inherited its name from the Irvine family and the Irvine Company that were key in the development of the city of Irvine.
Seniors are required to enroll in a minimum of five classes for the fall and spring semester with the option of enrolling in local community college courses. In 2005, 2009, 2013, 2021, and 2024, the school was recognized as a California Distinguished School [ 4 ] [ 5 ] and in 2006 was also named a Blue Ribbon School .
