Milwaukee Area Technical College (or MATC) is a public two-year vocational-technical and community college based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.MATC offers day, evening, weekend and online classes at campuses in downtown Milwaukee, Oak Creek, West Allis, and Mequon as well as an education center in the Walker's Square neighborhood on Milwaukee's near south side.
The University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee Libraries Digital Collections was established in 2001 to provide remote (online) access to the library's unique resources. It serves the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee academic community as well as the general public.
It served both boarding and day high school students, many of whom came from St. Benedict the Moor Elementary School, the other parish school. Demographic changes and the construction of an expressway during the 1960s caused the parish membership and its schools' enrollment to severely decline.
State Normal School, 1885. The site is made up of four adjoining structures built in stages. [2] Built in 1885, the central and oldest structures of the complex are the former State Normal School (later the Wisconsin State College of Milwaukee and now the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee), with the central section a Queen Anne design by master-architect E. Milwaukee-Downer Seminary was a private girls' elementary, junior high and high school in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.It was separated from Milwaukee-Downer College in 1910 (prior to that date it was the pre-collegiate section of the college); and added seventh and eighth grades in 1917, although a separate corporation was not obtained until 1933.
