You will want to click onto the drop down that says headings only, content visible, content partly visible. When you click onto the dropdown menu, you will see options on how Edge will display the MSN news feed content on your start page. To turn it off, please select content off. This will turn off content, including the MSN newsfeed.
With the February update to Windows 11 - you have the option to disable MS start to feed from the Widget Settings. Requires Windows 11 23H2 at least. Like you, I had no desire to see the news feed upon startup OR when I open a new tab. First, navigate to Edge's settings using the three dots on the upper right hand side of the window. Next, navigate to "Start, home, and new tabs"

Do you want to disable the news feed that appears when you start/open a new tab on Edge? Select the cog icon on the top right corner of the page > on Content, set it to "Content off" If I helped you anyway, It makes me happy.
Right-click the taskbar (other than the app icons), choose News and Interests from the context menu, click Hide / similar button. It's easy to ride down a hill while it's hard to climb the hill back up.

How do I STOP Fox (News) from showing up on my MSN and BING news feeds? I do NOT want Fox (News) to show up on any of my MSN or BING news feeds. I have tried hiding it, but it comes back. I see there is a block area under customize but it wont let me add Fox News to the blocked. It is now either BLOCK FOX (News) or quit using MSN and BING.
