When I make my D&D characters, I like to write what they look like as well as their combat stats, including their height and weight, using the race's average height/weight entries as guidelines. My problem is that it's hard to visualize just what a humanoid of such a height and such a weight would look like.
1 - Your level of heat over 4-5' of height is slightly amusing to me. 2 - These are the giants from D&D at least as far back as 1995, so... shrug YMMV but these are almost the exact same heights as giants from D&D 24 years ago. EDIT - I just went and checked 3.x stats. Looks like they shaved 4-6' off giant heights in the move from 2e to 3.x.

When you make a long jump, you cover a number of feet up to your Strength score if you move at least 10 feet on foot before the jump. This rule assumes that the height of your jump doesn't matter, such as jumping across a stream. No ability check, no dice rolls, no feats or proficiency bonuses or anything. Distance = Strength score.
Ah, that's an interesting question. Well, there is a height chart in the 3.5 manuals that shows the average heights of creatures, you could just multiply it by 30mm... Small would probably be 15mm Medium 30mm (1x1 base) Large 60mm (2x2 base) Huge 90mm (3x3 base) Gargantuan 120mm (4x4 base) Colossal 240mm (8x8? base) Just guessing though.

The dice roll given in the Height Modifier column determines the character's extra height beyond base height. That same number multiplied by the dice roll or quantity given in the Weight Modifier column determines the character's extra weight beyond the base weight.
