I cannot enable media streaming (DLNA) in Windows 11 because the option to do so has vanished from the Network and Sharing Center. I used to enable streaming from inside the old Windows Media Player, but I recently uninstalled that as I expected to use the new Media Player, and I suspect that the problem occurred when I did the uninstal.
Press Windows and R key together on your Keyboard. Type services.msc and hit enter. Search for Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service and Windows search. Turning on Media streaming allows access to media in all libraries. Rather than delete the libraries give all files in E:\DLNA\Share\Music five stars and then set media streaming to 5 stars only. To do this: Select the Start button and select Settings > Apps > Optional Features. At the end of the list, go to More Windows Features. In the new menu select Media Resources and enable Windows Media Player. With that the option of streaming media appeared in the network settings.
