The feeling your investing in something that will still be there in 30 years time is what gives Tamiya a quality over and above the rest because it doesn’t forget its past. The new website feels cheap and uninteresting. It also makes it look like Tamiya doesn’t make hardly anything. It’s just boring and pointless now.
But only Tamiya USA is asking that price. $822 for an Egress when they were in stock. $570 for the upcoming TFE. $482 for a Super Hotshot. Those aren't normal prices. And I understand they are artificially high to protect hobby stores. But the hobby stores aren't even getting the kits. So there's a problem somewhere.

Tamiya USA can keep their stupid stickers and out of stock bodies...I don't need them anymore. A few screws and my assembled M04L is easily converted into a M04M. Regarding the pictures: like 99% of other webstores.

See on this Dark Impact page the manual is listed at the bottom along with R/C Part, Hopups and a Data Sheet. The same 'DF03' manual does not list on the Keen Hawk or Avante Mk2 even ...

Tamiya USA really needs to do better emails and attention on their website to sales. I got the email about the fire dragon in April, and one about the TD4. I didn't realize the sale included so much more - The Tundra High Lift & Hilux High Lift are both on sale for ~$440. not great prices, but actually competitive I think.

I also posit that Tamiya is staying far away from the old bolt-together shim style ball diff that the Madcap, Astute, Egress, King Cab, etc used. The Egress re-re received entirely new diffs for example. As of yet, Tamiya appear unwilling to offer a complete re-design of the rwd version leading to fans bemoaning the lack of a King Cab re-re, etc.
