In case you haven't seen it in the Wabbajack menu, my new modlist, Librum for Skyrim VR, is live! This ain't your daddy's Skyrim. In short, Librum seeks to completely re-imagine the Skyrim experience, re-framing the game as a hardcore survival-adventure experience in a new, darker, and much more unforgiving Skyrim.
FUS is a modular and performant modlist for Skyrim VR, created by u/Kvitekvist and Cangar. It offers four profiles with different levels of visual and gameplay enhancements, and is available on the official wabbajack server and browser.
How that compares to non-VR games, or even non-VR Skyrim, is another matter. Sure, given the same hardware, you're going to get more eye-candy on a desktop monitor than on a headset, but that's because a headset's total resolution and framerate are both much higher than the average monitor's, taking into account it has to render in stereo.
A lot of VR games at the moment seem boxed into either cartoon graphics or pushing the player along a really obvious pre-set path. The future of VR gaming is I think 2D gaming with support for VR as I think a lot of VR games if they were played solely in 2D wouldn't pass muster with the player base.
A few months back Skyrim 2020 mod page had three experimental parallax mesh downloads added, which worked as a good substitute for the parallax mesh patch collection, but without the issue of having a bunch of broken textures (presumably because they only included meshes that worked with 2020 textures) thereby avoiding the need to go through and delete all the bad meshes...

FYI: skyrim VR and skyrim are released as separate titles, as far as I know, you have to buy skyrim again (the VR version) to play. You can either move using a thumbstick or "teleport" (which is also controlled via thumbstick, but it's different). You can also move around by just walking, but I think it's limited to the size of your room.
